Dear Alpha Gamma Sigma Parents,
Welcome to Alpha Gamma Sigma! Your son has found a home in an organization that has been developing men to become the leaders of tomorrow since 1922, and Alpha Gamma Sigma strongly believes that you, as parents, are a part of our extended family. Alpha Gamma Sigma looks forward to playing a strong and positive role in your son's college life and beyond, and we hope that you will be an involved and supportive part of this experience.
The thirteen principles to which our founding fathers dedicated themselves when Alpha Gamma Sigma was founded in 1922 - self-reliance, temperance, health, obediance, perpetuation of morality, cooperation, sociablility, leadership, fellowship, honesty, sportsmanship, sacrifice, and scholarship - still hold true today and are, in fact, the cornerstone of our chapter program.
During your son's college years in Alpha Gamma Sigma he will make friends to support and motivate him, and he will find guidance in the Alpha Gamma Sigma alumni who advise the chapter and serve the house board. We urge you to play an active role in your son's Alpha Gamma Sigma experience and to encourage him to make the most of the many opportunities our fraternity has to offer.
